An alert currently deliver useful content to the user but not allow user interact with the alert once receive the information. A simple interaction is such as a "Invitation alert" whereas the alert is sent to a list of a recipients and the recipient can RSVP to the alert sent.

An Alert for those who don't watch television or have busy lives. The Movie Alert should inform subscribers about upcoming movies to be shown in theaters. This way they can plan ahead to watch this movie. This alert should include a link or the actual text of the summary of each movie. It should also include a link to movie trailer.

Currently we have several alerts that is more useful for the mainstream such as the sport alerts: Baseball alert (and the coming NFL & NCAA alerts), weather alert and shopping alerts (Price Watch, Price protection), etc. It would be useful that we have alert that is more useful to a specific group, such as a camping alert that can help raise awareness of how useful an alert can be. And what Alerts.com can achieve.
Imagine the camper of today that is gear toward a more specific campsite that is hardly available because it's so popular. Such an alert to be use as "alert me when campsite number 22, 94, 37, and X available on weekends from x day to y date (note that not all campsite are not created equal). Would it be nice if I would receive an alert on these?
It doesn't matter if we have an alert specific for certain state at the start and add more as data become available. The important part is the enthusiasm we generate for the # of users who would love this type of alert.
This is just one example for alert that is more specific and not mainstream. An idea to be expand on.

This alert should inform users about new album, single, or music video releases. It would be nice if there was link that shows the lyrics or sample clip of the songs or the full music video. It would cool if Subscribers could choose to be alerted about specific artists, genres(types of music), current top songs/artists, and/or new artists.

The only difference with this alert is that, it lets you submit multiple price watch alerts and let's you view all the prices all at once for the same product from different store websites

This is an Idea for a School Alerts Add On
It'd be nice if their was away for school alerts administrators to just input the scores/results of football/basketball/track/tennis/band competition/Fund Raising Results/etc. and all everyone who signed up for those alerts could receive information about them.

It would be pretty great if I could respond via sms or email with a message like UPDATE and then an updated alert could be sent to me in a few minutes. I'm hooked on the baseball score alert and this would be very cool.

This alert will inform users about Newest, Latest, and Hottest Fashionable clothes out there.

These set of alerts should inform users updates in subject of science with their specific field of choice such as:
biology
technology
psychology
chemistry
astronomy
physics
etc.
Or maybe if possible to get even more specific
such as specifying:
stem cell research
robotics
etc.

This is just an idea to modify school alerts.
Like members of staffs or student leaders, are able to create their own group alert specifically for their school.
This way, the school can monitor general things and be more aware of what goes on around each sub group in their school
For example,
Groups like Classes, Remind students of big projects/hws
Grade Levels, Remind Freshmens only, Sophomores only, etc.
Class Officer Groups
Teachers for - Freshmen
Or Teachers for - Seniors etc.
Clubs such as: National Honors Society, Break Dance Club, Japanese club, etc.

We have a price watch alert which watches a specific retail website to see if the price for one product drops to a specified level. We should offer an alert which searches numerous websites for a specific product. We would need a way to uniquely identify a product. Possibilities are:
- by the product SKU
- by the name, vendor and other information such as size and color

Here's how this can work:
- people give us upcoming events in their lives (birthday, graduation, wedding, wedding anniversary, children's birthday)
- other folks can search for their friends and sign up to get alerted to one or more upcoming events
- people can send out invitations for friends to subscribe to their upcoming events

Would like the ability for more search criteria. Say for instance I am looking for a new car, specifically a Honda Accord. It would be nice to have a maximum and minimum price option for filtering results, just like craigslist.

This alert is for collectors of sorts or for those who are just looking for an updated product of their choice. This alert should inform subscribers about new products released based on their specification such as:
Company
Type of Products
Company Product types (Types of Products produced by a specified company)
Supposedly you are gamer who is a fan of Nintendo Wii Products. If you subscribe for this alert, you should be alerted everytime a Nintendo Wii Product is released.
Or maybe if you wanted a new Phone
This alert should inform new when new phones of the type you wanted or your service provider offers you.
It would also be nice of the users are given summary of the product and some sort of release price??

Similar To Birthday alerts. An Alert that will remind subscribers about special events.
This alert are for the busy people who just can't seem to remember special days, even Holidays. With this alert, people can remember to request day offs, buy presents, or even book their flights early for the holidays.
This alert should let subscribers choose a specific amount of days to be alerted before the holiday.
Not only that, they should able write their own personal message before each Holiday. With that message, they'll exactly what they intended for each Holiday.
For Example,
Remember to book flights for Christmas
Get Little Timmy a Nintendo Wii
Get Santa Claus Outfit
